Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms form an agreement between you and the Blox 4 Dead developer ("B4D," "we," or "us"). If you do not agree, do not use the Activity.

You must meet the minimum age Discord requires in your country, and you must never be younger than 13, including when using the standalone web version. If you are below the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms when local law requires it. If you use B4D on behalf of an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization to these Terms.

B4D contains stylized horror, zombies/infected, gunfire, combat, and fantasy violence. You and, where applicable, your parent or guardian are responsible for deciding whether that content is appropriate.

2. Permission to play

Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to access and play B4D for non-commercial entertainment. This permission does not transfer ownership of the game or its assets.

You may not sell, sublicense, redistribute, commercially exploit, or create an unauthorized copy of B4D, except where applicable law expressly permits it. You may not bypass access controls or remove copyright, trademark, or attribution notices.

3. Acceptable conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate, or deliberately endanger another person.
• Cheat, automate play, tamper with match traffic, exploit bugs for an unfair advantage, or evade a restriction.
• Disrupt a room or service, overload infrastructure, distribute malware, or interfere with another player's device or connection.
• Seek another person's credentials, OAuth codes, tokens, private data, or unauthorized access to systems.
• Reverse engineer security controls or probe the service for vulnerabilities, except to the extent such activity is protected by applicable law and conducted responsibly.
• Use B4D to violate law, Discord rules, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or other people's rights.

Report a serious security issue privately to the developer using the contact method below rather than exposing it in a public room.

4. Multiplayer sessions and game traffic

B4D is a cooperative and competitive multiplayer prototype. When you enter a run, other clients on its Realtime topic receive the identity, presence, team, class, latency, and live game information needed for the shared match. The Activity itself does not provide or collect Discord voice, video, or message content. Review the Privacy Policy for details.

A run code is a routing secret, not strong authentication. The current Supabase channel is not a private, individually authorized server. A client that obtains or guesses a current code may be able to receive or attempt to send match traffic. Share codes only with intended players, and create a new run if a code is exposed.

Connections can fail, hosts can leave, latency can differ, and game state can be lost. B4D may use host-authoritative or fallback networking and does not promise permanent rooms, saved progress, rankings, match history, or a particular competitive outcome. Do not rely on B4D for emergency communication or any safety-critical purpose.

The current B4D Activity and service have no paid items, subscriptions, prizes, cash-out features, or gambling. If that changes, we will update these Terms and provide any disclosures required before a purchase.

5. Discord and other services

B4D depends on Discord, Supabase, Vercel, internet access, and compatible browser or Discord software. Your use of those services is also governed by their agreements and policies, including the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their independent acts, outages, or policy changes.

6. Ownership and independence

Code, artwork, text, audiovisual material, branding, third-party software, and other materials in or referenced by B4D may be protected by copyright, trademark, license terms, and other laws. They remain subject to the rights of their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer ownership or grant you rights to third-party materials or marks.

Blox 4 Dead is an independent game and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Valve Corporation, Left 4 Dead, Discord, Supabase, or Vercel. Left 4 Dead, Discord, Supabase, Vercel, and other names or marks belong to their respective owners. References are descriptive and do not imply endorsement.

Feedback is voluntary. You allow us to use feedback about B4D without payment or an obligation to implement it, but you keep ownership of any rights you already have in the feedback.

7. Changes and availability

We may fix, rebalance, update, suspend, or discontinue part or all of B4D. Features, maps, campaigns, infected classes, player capacity, and availability may change. We do not promise that B4D will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using B4D at any time. We may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary to protect players or systems, comply with law or platform rules, respond to discontinued services, or address a material violation of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual-property provisions, disclaimers, and lawful liability limits) continue after access ends.

9. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, B4D is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so these exclusions may not fully apply to you.

To the extent permitted by law, the B4D developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from B4D. Any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded is limited only to the maximum extent applicable law permits.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The law that applies to you may provide additional rights.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as B4D changes. The revised version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. If a material change requires advance notice or consent under applicable law, we will provide it. Continuing to use B4D after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

For a Terms, safety, or security question, contact the Blox 4 Dead developer or the server administrator who made the Activity available through that Discord server or channel. Identify the message as a "B4D Terms request" or "B4D security report" as appropriate. This build does not yet publish a dedicated support email or contact form; never send credentials, OAuth codes, tokens, or exploit details in a public channel.
